This week’s episodes of ABC’s ‘Scandal’ and NBC’s ‘Law & Order: SVU’ are both loosely based on the disgraced pol’s sexting exploits.

It all sounds so familiar.

Two popular television shows will air episodes this week loosely based on the sexty trials and tribulations of former mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner.

On Thursday night’s episode of “Scandal,” on ABC, Kerry Washington’s character, a public relations specialist charged with protecting the reputations of top politicos, takes on an unusual client: a lawmaker caught sending lewd text messages.

But the tale takes an even nastier twist when the pol — a fictional U.S. senator from Washington state — finds himself in the middle of a murder investigation.

The plot of the next episode of NBC’s “Law & Order: SVU,” which airs Wednesday, centers on an ambitious New York politician who wants to be the next mayor.

But his road to the top is marred after he is accused of sending illicit pictures to a 15-year-old girl online.
