Fans of the show are keenly aware of the love triangle that show runner Shonda Rhimes created between Fitz, Olivia, and Jake starting in season 2.
Olivia and Presidential Candidate Fitzgerald Grant fell in love and began an affair while on the campaign trail. It continued after Fitz moved into the White House. Over the years the relationship has been off again and on again, but the love between the two has remained despite many obstacles.
