Loyal SCANDAL fans who’ve watched ABC Scandal Season 1 witness the closest gladiator in the office to Olivia was Steven.
Steven was the first Gladiator called about the Amanda & President Baby Scare

He may have Steven’s big office, but Harrison is no Steven. And that’s not the actor’s fault. It’s the showrunners. And we’ll tell you why. The biggest difference between Harrison and Steven is that Steven and Olivia were friends. They were so close, that Olivia helped Steven pick out his engagement ring. In contrast, Harrison and Olivia have an Employee-Employer type of thing.
For that reason, we would like to see Harrison work closer with Olivia in selecting clients, and resolving the case. That would give Harrison more screentime. Add more depth to his character. And let him see that Olivia is a human being, and not some goddess to worship. It’s the only way they can form a real friendship.
In fact, that’s what Season 2 shoulda been for Harrison. Then we could go into Season 3 with Harrison as the 2nd-in-command. Furthermore… Wouldn’t it be great if Liv could get Harrison’s opinions about her relationships? That’s what Fitz does with Cyrus.
Cyrus also tells Fitz when to reign it in, OR, go for the jugular. Harrison should be doing the same for Olivia. And he could. If they form a friendship.
It’s kind of weird because he considers her family without asking any questions about anything.
Everythings going to be ok, even if it’s not ok..Liv, I got you.
