Jay Z and Beyoncé‘s 5th wedding anniversary trip to Cuba was surrounded with controversy of illegal travel with threaten jail time due to the Unites States shade on Cuba communist country.
US citizens are not allowed to travel to Cuba for mere tourism, though they can obtain licenses for academic, religious, journalistic or cultural exchange trips. The so-called people-to-people licenses were reinstated under the Obama administration.
During their trip, the music power couple posed for pictures with well-wishers as they ate at Havana’s best restaurants and danced to Cuban music.

Jay-Z has defended his controversial trip to Cuba with his wife Beyoncé in a new 2 minute rap song.
Jay Z raps ignorance about communist, “I’m in Cuba, I love Cubans. This communist talk is so confusing.”
But to cause insult to injury, Jay Z wants to throw the President of the United States and of the Free World under the bus?
How would Olivia Pope handle this?!?

During a White House briefing, Press Secretary Jay Carney was asked to address Jay-Z’s lyrics in his new song, “Open Letter” where he says the White House (aka President Obama) okay’d his controversial trip to Cuba.
Yes, this really happened. Jay Carney, who was visibly annoyed, responded by saying “The President did not communicate with Jay-Z over this trip” and added a bit of sarcasm by saying “I guess nothing rhymes with treasury.”
Do you think Olivia Pope will advice the President of the United States to hold a press conference to respond to these “rap lyrics?” Do you think Olivia would suggest to never allow Jay Z and Beyoncé back into the White House ever again?
Don’t you think “Cube Gate” would make a good SCANDAL episode next season?!?
